Take A Leap of Faith

What does that mean to you?

For me it means going for my dream. Having the faith to take the leap and know if I have been given this dream, then as long as I take action in the direction of the dream, it will become reality.

Is it a leap? Maybe for those who hear the voice of doubt and fear running amok in your mind. Maybe for those where their control on action is in the hands of parents, spouses, siblings, friends, colleagues, or even societal norms.

Faith is believing when proof is not available. Yet, knowing deep inside in a calm quiet place, that believing is seeing, not the other way around. If the other were true, you would see that what you have is what you believed you could have. Life has no guarantees, so what if you tried on faith for a while and saw what happened?

What if I asked, “Do you believe in gravity, electricity, the wind, or even a trillion dollars?” Your response might be, “Of course I do. Everyone does.” Yet, you don’t see gravity, electricity or the wind…a trillion dollars…I have heard, yet not seen, and still believe. As for the others, you see the effects of them. Staying on the ground and not floating away, turning on a switch to have light, the limbs of a tree bending and moving about, yet we do not see any of them.

Many people hope for better and more marvelous things and then get stuck. Yet faith, never lets one down as long as they do not waver.

One of my favourite quotes comes from Jim Carrey at a commencement speech, “I don’t believe in hope. Hope is a beggar. Hope walks through the fire and faith leaps over it”

So, what faith do you have in yourself? To follow that dream. Life is about living, not existing. Having the faith to rise and do it again, better this time, to the point where you are doing the thing you want to do with joy and love.

The thing that makes your heart sing, your mind start creating excitement and ideas. We are powerful beings and yet most of us play small and listen to others telling us how to live. These are opinions, they are not truth.

Faith becomes stronger the more you stay in faith and work on purpose with your dream. Things will happen “out of the blue” a phrase I have heard many say when something has been desired and then it happened; but not as you had planned.

Your dream, if feeling focused daily, can come about when the faith is kept, and the actions are done. It may turn out even better than you ever imagined.

So, I ask you, are you willing to take a leap of faith?

With belief in you and gratitude,

Lois Jean
